I don’t have a huge selection of earrings as I only wear them occasionally, but they are always just tossed in my jewellery box. I am in the process of decluttering and organising the whole house! So I started small.
I had a piece of black plastic with holes in it that had come in a food packet. It was just the perfect size to put my earrings on. I have quite simply tied a piece of ribbon to the top of it to hang it up with. Ta-da!! Tidy earrings 🙂
Ok, in the last days in the run up to Christmas things got a bit hectic! Meaning my posting got waylaid. So here is the finished up advent calendar 🙂
The calendar ended up with 3 cows, 4 sheep, a donkey, 3 kings, 3 shepherds, 2 angels, Mary and Joseph, a star, 3 presents, a manger and baby Jesus.
I am so pleased with how it turned out and the kids enjoyed opening it up every day. I can’t wait to get it out next year 🙂
I hope you had a good christmas.
Once again we have been super busy so here is a round up of the last few days with Edwin.
Edwin was climbing up our notice board using the magnetic clips to get up!
We found him sitting on a shelf today! Eboni thought this was great 🙂
On this day Edwin had been feeling peckish in the night and was in the Pringles tube!
On Edwin’s next to last day with us, we found him playing cards with the little Furbies on the table! They were playing 21 and everyone had bust apart from one Furby 🙂
Day 24 – The last day 😦
So this was Edwin’s last day with us. We found a paper covered box on our kitchen table with a note on the top that said to ‘Please Open Together’
So we all opened the box and inside was new pj’s for all of us, the DVD Elf and a jar with cookie mix in it. There was a letter in there with Edwin too. We thought this was a lovely way for Edwin to say goodbye 🙂
Edwin says he will be back next year and we are looking forward to it already 😉
Wow we have had a busy little elf!
On day 15 Edwin was found on the window ledge with 4 letters in his hands. The first was addressed to all three children and the letter inside was explains that the other envelopes had blank writing paper in it for the children to do their list on for Santa. The letter was lovely and talked a bit about Edwins time with us.
That evening we sat and wrote letters for Santa and we asked Edwin to take them back to Santa, which he did.
On the 16th Edwin had obviously been playing with one of the Christmas decorations! We have a springy reindeer soft toy and Edwin was discovered stuck within the spring!
The 17th was one of Edwin’s more random days! He was hanging on my underwear dryer, pegged at all four limbs!
The 18th the girls thought he hadn’t come back 😦 It wasn’t until Cliff made a drink and went in the fridge that he was discovered! He was sitting in one of the door pockets and had turned some milk green!!
The 19th found Edwin greeting our newest christmas decoration, the Nutcracker! He was in a bowl filled with Hama beads next to the Nutcracker and had been putting the beads on him!
I waited to post these 2 days together so you get the whole picture!
On the 12th when we got up Edwin, Barbie, Billy (from Butlins) and the cow were having a fab tea party!
So the girls went to school as normal…but when we got home from picking them up the tea party had ended and Edwin had another surprise!
He had turned up with magic seeds and magic compost! Well obviously we had to plant the seeds. The kids had no idea what they were going to grow into, it was fab 🙂
So this morning when we got up…candy canes had grown! How magical was that 😉
We have been so busy the past few days, so I am doing a 3 day catch up!
So in the calendar we have had a sheep, a shepherd and an angel 🙂
I really love how it is coming on now 🙂
The jokes we have had are:
‘What do you get if you eat christmas decorations?… Tinsel-itis!’
‘What do snowmen eat for breakfast?… Ice Krispies!’
‘What do you sing at a snowman’s birthday party?… Freeze a jolly good fellow!’
So as you can see they are still silly but fun jokes, the girls like them.
The 12th was the girls school nativity which was Babushka this year. Eboni was Babushka and Amber was a star 🙂 they did so well as did all of the other children. Every one remembered tge lines and didn’t need a prompt which was amazing and everyone was so proud! The girls school only has 15 children per year so reception, year 1 and 2 do their nativity together which is really nice.
On the 13th our activity was to start doing some christmas cross stitch . This went ok but will be slow going! I think my expectations were a bit high on this one.
And today (14th) we went to see Santa!!! We went to The Kent and East Sussex Railway and rode on a steam train where Santa came and saw the children and gave them a gift. Once we had done on the train we saw the snow queen and had a ride on the carousel. We all had an amazing time 🙂
Not long to go now!
The girls struggled to find Edwin this morning. He had found a fab sneaky place with our snow man stack!
